The 18-year-old was nominated by the College for his enthusiasm, hard work and excellent customer care in the College Training Restaurant.
Daniel was one of 30 around the country who were successful in getting a bursary from the fund which provides financial support to students who are studying catering or hospitality.
Renate Broomhall, from Halesowen College, said: “Daniel is a real credit to the College and an asset to the catering department.
“He has really developed his skills including customer service which will stand him in good stead for any future career.”
