The students worked on the corporate brand for Virgin Galactic’s first commercial spaceflights, including interior and exterior designs and uniforms.
The winner was Lauren Brown, with second place going to Laura Dodd and third place to Scott Binns.
Their work was displayed at the March Open Day when visitors were asked to vote for their favourite designs.
Gill Dunkerley, Graphics Course Leader at Halesowen College, said: “The students really took this project to heart and put all their creativity into coming up with new ideas. They had to consider the existing Virgin brand but literally take it to new heights. Congratulations to Lauren, Laura and Scott.”
The HNC in Graphics, Web and Multimedia is a new Level 4 qualification that is attracting a mix of progressing Level 3 students from both graphics and IT, students from other colleges and those who are already working and wish to qualify at a higher level.
