This standard has been awarded by the National Centre for Diversity.
Fiona Spence from the Centre has worked with the College over the last 18 months and spent time in College talking to a wide range of staff and students.
In her report she said, “From my many visits to the College, I am aware of how the College values are promoted and discussed by both staff and students.”
Solat Chaudhry, chief executive for the National Centre for Diversity said, “We are delighted that Halesowen College has achieved the Leaders in Diversity award, and would like to extend our congratulations to their leaders, staff and learners on their success to date.
“By engaging wholeheartedly with the Leaders in Diversity programme, they have demonstrated a real and tangible commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and to continuous improvement in this area. We are confident that staff and students at Halesowen College will continue to work on improving and adapting, and look forward to working with them in years to come.”
