Simon, aged 19, is undertaking his community radio training and helps out on the Friday afternoon show thanks to his experience at Halesowen College.
Simon had his own weekly lunchtime show called Listen at Lunch on Halesowen College Radio (HCR) for two years while he was studying his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Software and Games Development.
He said: “Thanks to the radio team at Halesowen College I’m now doing something I love. I am helping to keep the local community informed through The Bridge. This is such an honour and something I am really proud of.
“Without Halesowen College I would not be where I am today. I am having an amazing experience at The Bridge.”
Stan Petraitis, Halesowen College Radio Station Manager, added: “I am delighted that Simon is fulfilling his dreams and a future career. He is an asset to The Bridge.”
